Tidak semua Cina ultra kiasu

8:56 AM Posted by RIDHUAN TEE 61 comments

(Sinar Harian 7.7.14 )

Kita perlu membendung sifat ultra kiasu.

Persepsi salah kebanyakkan bukan Islam.

Sebenar nya says tidak ingin sebut kiasu pun. Bika sebut mereka rasa diri begitu hebat dan besar ! Saya suka gelar mereka puak EKSTREMIS bukan Islam. Golongan ini menjahanamkan Malaysia bersama melayu munafik !

This is a guy who says something and means something else. He will always deny he said something because this is what his masters do. I doubt he has half a brain because his statements are always contradicting himself. When ever he makes a statement he does not have any concrete evidence to back it up. He does not implicate anybody because there is no one to put the blame on. He makes inflammatory statements which fan hatred and distrust and now he says he did not mean it that way. This is a disgusting little man who is trying to look important.

That is the power of written words. Once written, it is very hard to erase it, or trying to defend oneself by saying it meant another thing. Mr Tee, what you have had written thus far is not in the league of Wordsworth or Keats, or our local Usmang Awang or Muhammad Haji Salleh. It is just a plain prose which is easily understood. Hence, your explanation here really an insult to our intelligence! Nevertheless, we understood fully well you are but a mere human being.

Atau kamu dah gila ke? Geram sangat kat RT hingga mereng otak amu? Kamu asyik buat gila begitu.

Pergi lah jumpa Psychiatrist.

Woi, stupid bloke writing comments under 10 different names 1-2 minutes after the other

Kee Peng Tan 11:17 PM,
Kenneth Cheong 11:18 PM,

Do take my free advice in BM written a little earlier than this one, above. Go see the Psychiatrist and take the pills he prescribes before your psychotic tendencies become worse and you start going physical here and there, get arrested and chucked into the Police lock up or the Hospital room meant for aggressive mental cases.

You appear to be a DAP bloke, supporting Lim Kit Siang, asking people to "study the work done by members of DAP". Now, what the hell has DAP done or the members contributed to this country, except being anti-Malay, anti-Islam and caused the race riots of 1969?

You have not said even one thing good that the DAP has done in your 10 comments above. Because there's nothing good to say, is there? Even their CEC is illegal, not recognized by the Registrar of Societies, in 2012, 2013, until now. Yet, wanting to sue the RoS for pulling them up o that - the authority on societies that include political parties.

The latest is Lim Kit Siang stirring up racial sentiments and possible trouble again. Like he did during the election campaign before the general elections of 1969. Leading to the 13 May race riots.

This time he twisted, slanted and spinned what TS Muhyiddin said -

“Malaysia could see another bloody incident if no efforts were made to preserve interethnic harmony, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said in a report published by Utusan Malaysia.”

Instead of supporting that, and making some efforts "to preserve interethnic harmony", he started to twist those words into all sorts of "inter-ethnic disharmony". What a warped, demented and sick personality that racist, anti-Malay and anti-Islam Kit Siang is.

And you want people to support him and DAP? You must have a sick mind even worse than him. Proven by you writing 10 comments under different names 1-2 minutes after the other. Do go and see the Psychiatrist, man.

Are you people in DAP behaving that way to cover up or distract attention from the huge and endless problems you have in the party?

Examples:

1. CEC 2012 not recognized by RoS
2. CEC 2013 not recognized by RoS
3. Members complaining to RoS
And now the latest -
4. DAP’s Teng and Liu quarrel again

PETALING JAYA: An old feud between two DAP leaders has erupted once again, in another drama to Pakatan Rakyat’s attempt to oust Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim as Selangor Mentri Besar.

Teng Chang Khim and Ronnie Liu, his former colleague in the state executive council, traded barbs on social media over the Kidex H'way project.

“He (Khalid) has to go or else Pakatan Rakyat may not retain the state in the next general election,” he said when contacted.

The rivalry between both senior DAP members was evident during the party’s state elections in 2010.

Liu reportedly joined Teng’s rival faction, headed by former state executive councillor Teresa Kok, in a bid to oust the then Selangor Speaker.

5. Fernandez quits after action over Facebook posts

JOHOR BARU: Former Johor DAP deputy chairman Norman Fernandez has resigned, two days after it was decided that he should be referred to the party’s disciplinary committee over a Facebook post.

6. Even Malaysia Kini is now hitting DAP -

Johor DAP deputy chair scapegoated to please PAS – Malaysia Kini

10:27 AM,

Ko cakap tak betul. Mengarut.

Cheang HupKeong 11:03 PM,

You said, "He makes inflammatory statements which fan hatred and distrust and now he says he did not mean it that way."

You are referring to Lim Kit Siang who is doing exactly that in respect of TS Muhyiddin's statement asking Malaysians to do something about inter-ethnic tension.

Chin Fatt Teng 11:05 PM,

You said, "No wonder our universities have gone down the drain with such person like you in our university."

You have no clue about what you are talking about. You have no clue about Universiti Pertahanan, the concept of Pertahanan, that internal instability also affects defence from external forces and what Professors there are expected to teach.

Lu sikola mana? Chin Wah High Schoor arr?

Might Go Go 11:07 PM,

Why this name? Thinking of going to migrate ha? Do so quickly larr. Sure you the kind who doesn't respect and abide by the Constitution of the country, mah. Be quick and leave, meh.

Don't contribute to the worsening of inter-ethnic tension. You migrate, you happy, we left behind, happy, tension goes down.

But you sure are a stupid bloke, writing 10 comments under different names, 1-2 minutes after the other.

So, you think anybody would believe what you say?

Sure product of Chung Ming High School like this.

Richard Foo 11:12 PM,

You said, "He converted to Islam to reap what little benefits he could receive as a Muslim."

What little benefits as a Muslim?

Woi, stupid, he clearly admits in his personal profile that his parents are traditional Chinese, he was once so, then he became a Christian, finally he became persuaded through his own research, to be a Muslim.

Kamon stupid, if he had wanted benefits, he would have not become a Christian but would have gone straight to become a Muslim.

How stupid you are, endlessly stupid, no other word to describe you but stupid.

You don't even see that, despite him being a Malay by the Constitutional definition of a Malay - habitually speaking the Malay language, professing the Islamic religion and practicing the Malay way of life - he writes clearly in his profile at the top of his Home Page that his race is Chinese.

You show utter stupidity, nobody is going to believe whatever you say, stupid.

Fanaticism has no place in a multi racial setup. When poor of all races are not looked after, what is the policy of the government, when did they look after the natives of Borneo, in fact they planted their proxies to loot the people of Borneo. Where is the morality of the British which gave the baton to UMNO. After the early morning raid by Mahathir on British plantations, what was the possition of the plantation workers who were not even given 1 acre of land after several decades. So the Malays are also kiasu but this is cleverly hidden.

There were deliberately replaced with cheap foreign labour and this erased 100 years of history of the plantation sector. So when there are 2 different treatments for the different citizens of the country , just watch out. Now Malaysia has also trampled on the Shite, it has only enemies in and outside the country.

Dah macam takder fahaman ugama pula.

to might go go and the gang - pergilah go to Canada sana, Canada always mengalu2kan pendatang untuk memenuhi negaranya, the procedure very easy one (go and google abt Canada faster!), dont worry di sana ada chinatown and china doll juga, remember to go there as a loser too yea! After you'll know how police sana will layan a loser like you and your gang if you and your gang pun buat hal di sana! so apa tunggu lagi? Go! Go! kita tak perlukan virus nipah di sini.....you perlukan ker?

sini dapat hidup senang takder perang, makan sedap, tidur lena - kalau tak mahu cakap terimakasih sekalipun, duduk diam2 buat kerja baik2. Jangan suka cari gaduh.

Erna Mahyuni,

For the good of M'sia, I think we should send you for courses on understanding the Constitution of the country, to understand what kind of Malaysians this country needs for the creation of a really united, cohesive Malaysian society, one that has less of the ungrateful ingrates, of the ultra kiasu, but more of those who respect Article 3 of the Constitution on Islam, Article 153 on the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak, etc.

Pick your choice - kursus at BTN, PERKASA, ISMA, etc. Asking RT to go to China and "Show them how to be Malay like him", you need to watch your skin and see if you are Malay yourself. Or you call yourself a liberal Malay? Do you know that there are no liberal Malays in this country - only pseudo-liberal ones.

You said in you profile, "The bad news: I am a writer/editor who often tries to be funny. The blog is proof." Yes, you are funny (and I don't bother going to "the blog"), but do you know the three types of funny-ness? Funny haha, funny strange, funny stupid. What you wrote in "this" blog is the third kind.

Don't think you are clever just because you have columns in Malaysian Insider (what's the name again?) and the Malay Mail. They give you those just because you are anti-Establishment - not for your ideas, as you don't have any, your comment above shows that.

Pssst, what "editor" are you?

Terkuncikah mulut Ridhuan Tee?

Agree with you Fanaticism has no place in a multi racial setup. But cannot accept your generalized and loose criticisms about the poor of all races not looked after, etc.

Where were you since the formation of Malaysia in 1963 not knowing the policy of the government, wildly accusing they did not look after the natives of Borneo, etc?

But when you start saying "in fact they planted their proxies to loot the people of Borneo", you sound like a Oppo Hippo, not knowing what you are talking about, closing your eyes to the various urban and rural programmes to improve the living conditions of the people in Sabah and Sarawak.

You even sound "unclever" by asking "Where is the morality of the British which gave the baton to UMNO." Didn't read the history of the formation of Malaysia? Or you are DAP which does not like history, even opposed History being made compulsory, not wanting their younger generation to know they are pendatang and DAP caused the race riots in Semenanjong in 1969, grudging against the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak under Article 153 of the Constitution.

You are talking thru Anwar's xxxxhole when saying "There were deliberately replaced with cheap foreign labour and this erased 100 years of history of the plantation sector." You certainly do not know what you are talking about when giving a warning, "just watch out. Now Malaysia has also trampled on the Shite, it has only enemies in and outside the country." The enemy is you and the Sedition Act and so many other laws can be applied to make you and the likes of you behave properly.

Dr Tee fails to understand that he has an Islamic duty to take Islam to his people. And one way of taking Islam to them is to engage them, take their issues into consideration, sympathize with them, treat them well and handle them with care and compassion. Take their grouses to the ‘Islamic’ government he serves as a lecturer and a columnist. It is mandatory upon him to return to his people and preach to them with wisdom.

Siding with one group vs another while you have a higher role to play is wrong. He doesn’t have to agree with everything the Chinese in Malaysia demand nor is he obliged to be their spokesman, but he has a duty to call them to Islam with beautiful preaching and better engagement. A concerned person shares with his people the beauty of the higher call like al Habib al-Najjar who did so even when he was killed by his own people.

As Allah (sw) tells him to enter Paradise after they brutally killed him, he says: “He said: O would that my people had known. “For that my Lord has granted me Forgiveness and has enrolled me among those held in honour!” (Holy Quran 36: 26-7) Ibn Abbas said this man advised his people both when he was alive and when he died. His concern for his people is clear that he even regrets that his people might not have known about Allah’s message when he has left the earth.

On the other hand, Dr Tee lashes at his own people. Rather than engaging them and becoming a bridge, he patronizingly preaches to them about tribal politics and Malaysia’s social contract. He even calls them names. He says they drink, gamble and fornicate. That’s not Islamic etiquette. And it is immoral. Muslims drink, gamble and fornicate and they have been expressly forbidden from engaging in all these vices yet they do. I’m not vouching for the Chinese doing this, but denouncing them as if that’s unique to them doesn’t help.

One is supposed to enter Islam and not a race, Islam repudiated race and it has no place in a supposedly believing society. Allah (sw) orders Muslims to enter Islam wholeheartedly. “O ye who believe; enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the Evil One.” (Holy Quran 2: 208)

Tengok Negara Mesir, amankah mereka selepas Husni Mubarak digulingkan ?

TENGOK ISRAEL, NEGARANYA KECIL, RAKYATNYA TAK RAMAI, TAPI SEMUA NEGARA TOK ARAB TAKUT DAN TAK BERANI WALAU PUN NAK JENTIK ISRAEL.

KALAU AKU INI ADALAH DARIPADA BANI ISRAEL, OH ALANGKAH BERTUAHNYA DAN BANGGANYA AKU. TAPI APA DAYA KU KERANA AKU LAHIR DALAM KELOMPOK MANUSIA YANG RAMAI TETAPI BERSIFAT KERDIL, KELOMPOK MANUSIA YANG MEWARISI KAREKTOR BUIH (BUBLE). BUKAN SALAH AKU ATAU PENGIKUT, YANG PATUT DIPERSLAHKAN ADALAH PARA IMAM (LEADERS) YANG TIDAK PERNAH MAHU BERSATU WALAU PUN MEREKA SATU TUHAN, SATU KIBLAT DAN SATU NABI.

Letih sudah fikir pasal perpaduan. Tidak kah takbur jika aku simpulkan TIDAK AKAN ADA PERPADUAN DALAM ISLAM SELAGI ADA SYIAH DAN SUNNI YANG MENYEMBAH TUHAN YANG SAMA.

Kenyan Nomad,

I've just submitted a general comment in your blog just now.

Now, to comment on a few of the specifics you raised:

In your blog, you even commented on the "not well attended to" caveat (readers may not continue to read if ..) RT placed on top of his Home Page in English. You concerned about the form, not the substance?

And you interpret that as unwillingness to engage? You stretching it too far, aren't you? And sounding like the Opposition party blokes. If you are in Malaysia, I trust you are aware that foreigners may not engage in the politics of this country.

And that the dictionary definition of blokes includes ship captains. Though the circumstances under which sailors call their captain "bloke" are not stated. The Opposition political leaders in this country are certainly fit to be called blokes.

More to come in he ensuing comments.

Kenyan Nomad,

Just reading RT one time and you say, "Dr Tee fails to understand that he has an Islamic duty to take Islam to his people"? Read more often and more articles, news reports, watch the public forums, seminars and panel discussions he participates on TV, radio etc, man. You won't get the impression that he is not interested to "engage" if and when you do.

And what makes you think that he does not "Take their grouses to the ‘Islamic’ government he serves as a lecturer and a columnist"? You now sound like standing on a mound trying to talk like a demagogue yet not knowing the facts - not even whether Dr Tee has done those that you accuse him of not doing. What's with you?

Lokee here, man, if you are praising people, you jolly well can say what you like. But when you criticize people, like hell you should get your facts right, justify what you say. Haven't they told you those before?

I thought of engaging you lengthily, but the things I read that you wrote so far put me off.

And you want to chide Dr Tee talking about tribal politics and Malaysia’s social contract? You have any clue about the history of this country, the background of the Constitution drafting, the processes before the draft Constitution became law - the highest set of laws in the land?

I can't be rude to you here especially on a fasting month and I should just stop writing. My comments so far contain sufficient grounds to call you ill-informed and incapable in engaging meaningfully here.

Context, man, context. Understand the Malaysian Constitution, its background, its interpretation, then you may engage.

Masalahnya bukan dengan "Associate Professor" Ridhuan Tee, tapi dengan kamu. Nampak nya kamu nak mencaci sahaja. Keluar dengan perkataan "mualaf" pulak. Aku tahu kamu hati busuk, kamu pun mungkin tahu, hanya cakap saja "ni aku tak tau lah."

Kamu bukan "kompius" tapi "kompos".

The Silent Saint said...

If we carefully examine Ridhuan Tee’s rhetoric’s, it is evident that this man is only trying to work up Malay sentiments to a frenzy and spark racial tensions in the country. He is merely attempting to show one community that they are the majority and yet their contributions are not recognised. He is merely stroking racial pressure in the country to create more disunity.

As a responsible citizen he should be highlighting the unity in diversity of Malaysian society. If you cannot do anything positive, at least refrain from making the situation worse. Is this the role to be played by an academic from the defense university? In all fairness the university should take disciplinary action against this man for making inflammatory statements in the media.

Anne Chong Yuk Ming,

Nothing wrong in being Kia su. Only wrong when becoming Ultra Kia Su. Then it means always wanting to win WITHOUT ANY LIMITS, WITHOUT ACCEPTING THE FACT THAT IN SPORTS, AS IN LIFE, THERE MUST ALWAYS BE WINNERS AND LOSERS.

And so, EVERYBODY MUST ONLY WIN
SOMETIMES, AND LOSE AT OTHER TIMES. If his is not accepted, then there'll be a lot of problems, leading to disorder, even chaos, in society.

The kiasu may not, but the ultra kiasu may "Do So IN A dishonest way or violent way to achieve what they want."

And if you imply only Chinese are kiasu, meaning only Chinese are striving and working hard, you are wrong. Because others also do those.

You people should no longer be influenced by the British colonialists's attitude, as for 90 years they hardly give the kind of "tongkat" they gave the Chinese to do business. They wanted the Malays to remain as padi farmers and fishermen, "to look after the food production of the country", they said. So, they built only a few schools, far in between the kampongs where most Malays lived, and provided only 4 years of primary education, whereas in the towns where most Chinese live, they built ample schools, both at primary and secondary levels, PLUS SCHOOLS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, THE PASSPORT OF SUCCESS DURING THOSE 90 YEARS OF BRITISH RULE.

Now you'd see hundreds if not thousands of Malays with PhDs, as Professors and lecturers at Universities, Accountants, Architects and Engineers, many with Master's degrees, in the GLCs and in the private sector in general. And the Malays have now acquired nearly 30% wealth, when after the 13 May 1969 race riots, they had only 3% wealth and hardly 5% employed as professionals.

And when ultra kiasu or always wanting to win without limits, they become so wired up in their minds and personalities that lies, deceits, cheats and treachery come about. Even being traitors to the country. Always wanting to win or ultra kiasu-ism perhaps accounted for the history of China being so full of wars, revolts and rebellions, disloyalty and treachery, such that China, despite being the most populous and a huge nation, became ruled by the Mongols for 80 years in the 13th Century and by the Manchus (Manchuria a foreign country until after World War II) for hundreds of years from the 17th to the 20th Century.

Ultra kiasu-ism played a part in the Manchu conquest and rule in China. The General in charge of the north eastern defences could not stand losing his mistress to the higher General who had just overthrown the ruling dynasty, he opened up the gates at the Great Wall north east of Peking, and the Manchu armies walked in without a fight.

Such ultra kiasu-ism had worsened conditions in China such that communism became attractive. Mao Zedong himself was ultra kiasu of the highest order, implemented what he called "Cultural Revolution" as a means to identify his enemies (who he later dealt in summary or kangaroo court fashion), and 30 million Chinese died as a result of the economic strife and the killing among factions of the Red Guards, etc.

China became treated as a pariah for hundreds of years by the West, a lot due to ultra kiasu-ism. China became respected only 1-2 decades ago after the communists became capitalists and their economy rose to being No.2 in the world.

Kenyan Nomad,

I fail to understand your motive in writing your comment. If to advise, why the accusation "Dr Tee fails to understand that he has an Islamic duty to take Islam to his people"?

I disagree with your accusation. I think many others, too. Especially the regular commenters here who know him much better than you do.

And what's wrong if he wants to be the spokesman for any group? He certainly is the spokesman for the group of us who share his thoughts, hopes and aspiration in here. And many others out there. Read his profile and see the organizations he represents in one capacity or other.

And you want to comment about Malaysia's social contract? Have your read and understood fully the history of this country?

And talk about "tribal politics"? What the hell do you mean by that? Is that a natural tendency among you African people? I saw one African talking so much about his tribe on CNN and that he is proud of his tribe, and only later on mention his country.

Have you not realized we don't have tribes in this country? We have communities of different ethnic groups, struggling to unite and your comments are not helping.

And you talk about "Islamic etiquette"? Talking but not practicing it makes your social background and educational level become questionable.

The Silent Saint,

If you are the Silent Saint, how come you now make noise? Unjustifiably, too.

"If we carefully examine .." - what did you use? Binoculars, microscope? And did you use reading glasses while doing it?

".. evident that this man is only trying to work up Malay sentiments to a frenzy and spark racial tensions in the country"? You must have been examining it blindly. So many others think the opposite. He has been trying to bring about unity by telling the Ultra kiasus not to be ultra. Comprende? Wakaru?

"they are the majority and yet their contributions are not recognised"? Not only you are not using reading glasses, you must be squint-eyed. Go see the eye specialist, old chap, and have your eyes corrected.

Waaaa, "unity in diversity" - now, where have I heard that before? Oooo, from the fake PhD Yap Tien Sin, President of the Dong Zong Ass of Chinese Schools. Saying "multi-nations within a nation" nonsense. When British PM David Cameron has said "multi-culturalism is dead", echoed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and two other EU leaders.

Why don't you people speak multi-cultiralism to the mainland Chinese? Ask them to give autonomy to the Tibetans, etc? Better still, you all join them there and preach that fake PhD Yap's belief.
He can be a martyr or a Prophet there.

Mei Mei Chu,

You no like what Prof Ridhuan has been saying, eh? Ultra kiasu, eh?

Admit lah. Admitting is half way to solving the problem among us.

But when ungrateful ingrate pendatangs not only are not thankful but also not admitting their ultra kiasu-ism, how to get unity in this country?

Alright to be kiasu. But not alright to be ultra kiasu. Like DAP buggers.

Read the Constitution fully, understand and accept the sensitive clauses that are protected by the Sedition Act. You blokes wanting the Sedition Act removed are not only seditious but also ultra kiasu of the highest order. PERKASA, ISMA etc came out as a result of that ultra kiasu-ism.

Respect and live by the Constitution, otherwise migrate lorr. You happy, those left bejhind happy, win-win situation, what.
