Di mana kiblat kita?

Sinar Harian 23 Mei 2011

Universiti tersebur adalah The Chinese Culture University, Feng Chia University, MingDao University, TransWorld University, I-Shou Univesity, the National Taipei University of Technology, and the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

ikhwan said...

Salam Dr

Saya sangat setuju dengan artikel kali ini.

Dimana kiblat mereka (Cina ultrakiasu)?

Dimana?

Kita kena bongkar semuanya.

PEMBANGKANG-DAP said...

Bila sebut sahaja ultra kiasu melompat lah saya.

Tak usah harap depa mahu buat kajian apa.

Kita mesti teruskan hujah hujah kita.

tokgaru said...

sambungan ....

Setelah hampir 54 tahun kita merdeka. Bangsa melayu semakin hilang jati diri.

Anonymous said...

ikhwan,

Amacam kita nak tukarkan tabi'at "malu malu" Melayu nih? Supaya jadi "confident", "forward", "pandai jual diri" dan "assertive".

Saya pun dah lama fikirkan perkara ini. Nampaknya so'al budaya, berbahasa halus, bertabi'at sopan, merendah diri, beradab dan sepertinya yang ada Melayu kata ciri ciri murni yang kita nak simpan.

Amacam? Revolusi Budaya kita? Di China dizaman Mao Zedong, Cultural Revolution dia bawak porak peranda sehingga lk 3o juta rakyat Cina mati akibatnya dan akibat jahanam ekonomi.

Saya sokong penuh buku "The malay Dilemma" Tun Dr Mahathir.

Dr Mahathir kata dia nak "re-visit" bukunya The Malay Dilemma itu. Dia responding well to chest infection diIJN, katanya.

Tambah:

With ultra-kiasu Malaysian Chinese's policy " China 1st", there is no difference at all..

Harap maklum

wallahua'lam.

Why not give yourself some nickname? Easier to remember and to address you.

Ohh... so are you acknowledging that Malaysia is a Muslim country? No more 3in1 Malaysia, Malaysian Malaysia? Unity in diversity? :) ?!!?

Anyway...you should restate yourself first before you jump on to such comparison in rebuttal to Dr Ridhuan. He is looking from "racism" point of view while you are looking from "religionists" point of view. So really is...as I stated before, your comparison does not make sense given the context of Dr Ridhuan article.

I'll address your other points later.

You don't know ha, China corruption very big even 2,000 years ago ha? You heard about consort families and the eunuchs in the Emperors' palaces ha? They very corrupt one for very long time, you know. If you read carefully, ikhwan already answered your statement there.

Like what ikhwan wrote b4, u r seeing things from religionist point of view, which is clearly off topic.

If you want to compare so badly, I teach u how.

Comparison for muslim studying at egypt, is buddhist studying at India/China, or christian studying at Vatican City..etc.

Dr. T wrote from Racism point of view, which means Chinese going taiwan, same like malay going to Indonesia..( I think only Indonesia the closest country to Malay culture I can think of, itupun x cukup melayu), or Indian going to India...

See the difference...?

The point is, with these ultra kiasu in Malaysia sudah cukup ultra-kiasu nyer, we don't want sending them there will increase tahap kekiasuan mereka...

U know that stupid namewee? x pandai ckp bahasa malaysia, sampai taiwan, look what he did?

And I don't know why the gov still keep him. His citizenship should be revoke.

Saya pernah pergi BTN Kursus Kenegaraan.

Anonymous said...

wayau,

Setuju dengan pendapat anda. So'alan anda tepat sekali.

Bukan straight As saja.

Orang politik buat dasar merintah selalunya banyak berdasarkan undi.

My friend...

You are making the wrong remark there....Those Malay that went to Egypt does not bring back their culture. They only bring back their Islamic or medical knowledge. Yes the country was corrupt (Not sure with the change of government today)but the learning institution are not in anyway affected by this.

And by the way, most of those UMNO and PKR, corrupt Malay does not graduate from Egypt. They graduate from England, America etc from that Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard etc like that person with initial "KJ" (you know lah who I am referring to).

So my point is...they dont bring back culture...they bring back knowledge! and whether you are corrupt or not does not depend on where you learn from. It depends solely on the individual morality.

What about Taiwan and China? Are you sure that these countries arent corrupted??!! And Cina Malaysia learning in Taiwan and China definitely is not good. They didnt just bring back knowledge...they also bring back more ultrakiasu! We definitely dont want this.

I definitely support sending Malay to these chinese country but not Cina Malaysia to chinese country.

Anonymous said...

Anon 12:17 PM,

Setuju sepenuhnya.

Nak tambah sikit:

Anonymous said...

Penerangan:

Tetapi orang Melayu, budaya Melayu, hanya beragama Hindu.

Islam masuk kerantau ini hanya diabad 13.

Anonymous said...

Maaf masuk sejarah sikit.

Anonymous said...

Salam...
Saya hanya ingin memberi pandangan saya....

peace!

sy rasa barisan nasional kena ubah cara pentadbiran yg lebih kpd masyarakat majmuk, bukan spt dahulu di mana
umno utk melayu sahaja
mca utk cina shj
mic utk india shj....
* jadikan satu parti itu utk semua...

fine....getting a bad result doesn't mean the end of the world, the important is to work hard once u know u r weak...

some of them totally do not work hard, wasting government money, each semester government pay rm1250 from every student, everyday relax, smoking, disturbing n couple.

I'm from an SMJK school and let me put it to you this way. Get your facts right before you talk out of your ass, 'Dr' Tee.

First of all, our command of the Malay language isn't as appalling as you claimed it is, in fact I'm sure we're well above the national school average.

As to your allegations that the majority of SMJK students FAILED BM during SPM, are you high on crack or what? I got a freaking A+ in 2009 and most students in my year got an A or B, if that is any significance to you (Nevermind, I know it isn't).

Fact is, we are somewhat weaker in verbal communication using BM due to a lack of consistent usage on a daily basis. However, we're certainly on par if not, far better in other aspects of the language including grammar and vocabulary, as exemplified by our SPM grades.

And well, 'weak' as we may be, at least we don't butcher the national language with all those nonsensical abbreviations and sentence structures that will make a BM teacher weep. Example: "krng tgk muke ridhuan tee tu, fuck sial mcm beruk je".

Here's another one for you to digest, all languages are given equal emphasis in SMJK schools. We have 6 periods for both BM and Bahasa Cina, 5 for English.

You claimed that students going to Taiwan and China for studies are racist? Mencinakan lagi cina. I don't exactly know how respond to such a stupid question. So I suppose MARA/JPA scholarships sending Malay students to Indonesia for Medicine and other courses is racism as well?

Seriously, YOU have a PhD? Your university must be very ashamed.

iEda saFuan,

So'alnya, siapa yang patut ambil "inisiatif" buat demikian?

Bukankah budaya Malaysia perlu berteraskan budaya Melayu?

[Bersambung]

[Sambungan 1]

Mister Stupid SMJK blogger leaving this not stupid blog at 1.00AM,

Whether your read this blog again and my comment herein I could't care less. At least anyone else of your kind reading it will know what I think of not only stupid but arrogant, misled and ungrateful blokes like you.

You have a good enough command of English to know the definition of the word "bloke" in the dictionary, but I don't mind if you or any one else interpret it more than that.

Such a pity, your SMJK education is wasted into non-Malaysian thinking line, won't even bother to write in BM, and I gonna reply you in kind, so that the message I bring gets fully drummed into your head.

Who the hell are you to say RT has not got his facts right? You simply won't accept the various arguments based on the many facts he put out, would you? Kiasu thinking fellow who thinks only you got your facts right and even PhD Senior lecturers you simply try to pooh pooh. Well, ppoh pooh to you, old boy. Even some dog pooh to you, too.

Don't talk about your BM being "above the national school average" when you don't put out the data and quote the sources and the authority for saying the shit you said.

Most importantly, you people have for years quietly been having a different BM syllabus and a lower standard of BM pass. The Minister of Education had only last year decided that it would be standardized beginning next year.

Your argument is only to ask, "are you high on crack or what?" Didn't I say you are stupid and arrogant? Also kurang ajar, too. Coming to a blog owned by a PhD Senior Lecturer and saying that sort of gangsterish language. And no proof of your "freaking A+" - you have used the right word - freak! Yet you offer no data on the performance of others.

You disregard the Deputy Minister Wee wee saying last year that a research done the previous years showed that about 1/3 of SRJKC pupils drop out of school before SPM in SKs because of BM? And RT refers to them as well, Mister stupid.

Not having any other arguments you then hit out at abbreviations bloggers use, including the teacher who wrote above you. You never heard about "blogging language", Mister stupido?

We are not interested in "all languages are given equal emphasis in SMJK schools". In fact we abhor that because of non-respect for Bahasa Kebangsaan which is clearly stated in the Constitution as THE language of communication in this country. If you don't understand the significance of the word "THE" as stated in the Constitution, it means your English is not good enough despite knowing grammar and syntax.

Read the Constitution fully, boy. Understand it and interpret it as a Malaysian whose ancestors were stateless and without any citizenship for over a hundred years in this country. Don't just grab the citizenship right that's accorded your kind in the Constitution. Read, understand respect Article 152 on BM and 153 on the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sarawak and Sabah.

There is no issue at all about MARA/JPA scholarships sending Malay students to Indonesia for Medicine and other courses. Read the books recommended in the earlier comments - "The Malay Civilization" and "Tamadun Alam Melayu" (available at Muzuim Negara or Historical Sociiety Building opposite IJN, Jalan Tun Razak, KL) to know fully the origins of the Malays, the history of this country that you people become pendatang to, and try to appreciate that the "kiblat" or direction that you all should look to is this country Malaysia and the Gugusan Pulau Pulau Melayu of which Malaysia is part of, and not China or Taiwan.

You snort at RT's PhD. What qualification have you and which University - a Tongsan one?

How do like hearing a retort to your comment using your way of talking, Mister stupid?

Abido.

Am not finished yet, Mister stupid SMJK,

What the hell you talkin' about we having to learn Chinese to read the Chinese papers for? Where do you put your head - in between your legs?

This country is Malaysia. The Malays were even been prepared and had in fact put aside bahasa Jawi. And you now want us to learn Chinese? Despite Article 152 on BM? WTF.

See your unMalaysian, ultra kiasu and gangsterish thinking again - you talk about the Chinese press "scold at u or laughing at u..." You should have lived under a Mao Zedong regime where you would be paraded on the street, hands cuffed, shouted at and humiliated. Or in Fiji where the pendatang are even the majority, won the general elections but could not rule because the Army simply grabbed power and rule by military decrees.

Or in Thailand, Indonesia or the Philippines where you can't even use your own name let alone talk Chinese in the presence of the locals.

Now I'm done on you. Leaving at 1.00 AM, good riddance to you. You are not included in the group referred to in the earlier comments about mutual understanding and respect - not until you have read fully, understood and accepted the Constitution of this country.

Im nt complaining about d quota but instead of giving edu chances just to fill up the quota and leaving out many deserving students, why not figure out a better solution in order for msia to progres? "China says sichuan has been rebuilt after the earthquake bt msia is stil in the making after 50yrs... This jokes seriously shows how slow is msia progression...tats it for now.

Specially for SMJK 12:48am;

On a more serious note, what is there to be ashamed of with the awarding of Phd?

Are you still not brilliant enough to learn that even a former PM (so called statesman with the highest awarded salutation which so much better than a Phd) can still lie in his latest book after he infamously lied about DSAI black eye which he claimed as 'self-inflicted'?

What have you actually learned about racism in Malaysia? Even after the bloodied May 13th, 1969, are we any better than our nearest neighbour, the Singaporean? Have you realised that the Deputy PM of Singapore currently is a Singaporean?

Why must you considered yourself weak? Do you not have a political party that is championing for your own race? By the way, is it not the political parties are the representatives for you to voice your grievances? Are you trying to say that even after 50 years, the political parties are not effective in resolving the nation conflicts?

Get your facts right before you talk out of your ass, 'Dr' Tee.
First of all, our command of the Malay language isn't as appalling as you claimed it is, ________________________________

OMG! hehe (yeah I am following your style of what you call as "butchering" a language)

Your head must be way up your f*cking ass that you couldnt even think properly let alone read properly what Dr Ridhuan has wrote and the facts that he has presented!

What part of "fact" that you dont understand? You cant read BM? Ohh sorry, you got A+... LOL. Here are facts of the "appalling" level of Chinese BM:

Malaysian Insider St Poll: 26.1% of chinese had almost no command or could not understand BM

NUTP survey; one in three vernacular school product cannot understand either English or BM and another one in three only understand a little bit.

If this is not appalling, then I dont know what "appalling" is!

This is the "facts" that Dr Ridhuan referred to...what about your fact???

Ohh..you have given them: "I got a freaking A+ in 2009 and most students in my year got an A or B, if that is any significance to you (Nevermind, I know it isn't)."

LOL! what a trivial fact! You yourself admit it later with "Fact is, we are somewhat weaker in verbal communication using BM due to a lack of consistent usage on a daily basis".

A bit of understatement there; "somewhat weaker". No...not somewhat weaker... Infact totally rubbish!

Yeah you are right there: your "fact" has no significance to us! and your BM A+ on paper has little or no value whatsoever!

Now let me give you my fact: more than 50% of chinese malaysian that I have conversed with, have a very very poor command and understanding of BM. Yeah it is my word against your word. This fact is just as credible as you fact.

Furthermore he said:

Don't talk about merit lah when you don't even accept Malay Special Position clearly spelt out in the Constitution, man.

Don't talk about Spore where they don't have democracy like speaking the way you speak, man. In Singapore, you'd be hauled up by Big Brother who'll scare the shit out of you for talking anything against the Gomen. Here you all naik kepala and talk about d malaysian spirit in a shit kind of way.

We should be avoiding the bloodied May 13th, 1969, but why r u asking "are we any better than our nearest neighbour, the Singaporean?" What has it got to do with anything except that you are a bloodied ultra kiasu?

Wat u trying to say by "Have you realised that the Deputy PM of Singapore currently is a Singaporean?" Sure la Dep PM of Spore is a Sporean, stooopid.

Hoi Anonymous 9:57 AM

No understanding what you meaning. But wen you say "Only stupid people read stupid blog", dat's you, innit?.

SMJK said...

Kiasu this and kiasu that. You know why Malaysia's not advancing as fast as our neighbours? Attitude like yours. Competition drives innovation, but of course people like you will never understand that statement. Whenever issues on racial equality and fairness arise, you and your merry gang of like-minded bigots such as RT and PERKASA will scream their heads off about special rights and protectionism.

Statistics? If you want to be pedantic, fine let's play it your way. Regarding SJKC dropouts, the actual article is available on AsiaoneNews, dated 2008. Wee Ka Siong ESTIMATED the number to be 25% which is exactly 1/4 and definitely not 1/3. RT is obviously exaggerating the numbers or he hadn't done his research properly, either way he still didn't get his facts correct. He also implied that Chinese teachers can't teach Malay well; statistics please? Malay only has 2 periods per week in vernacular schools; again, where's the data.

On your remark about our constitution. Article 152 states that the NATIONAL LANGUAGE is the Malay language, in no way does it refer to or imply a specific language used for day-to-day communication. On the contrary, it clearly states that 'everyone is free to teach, learn or use any other languages' and 'the Federal and State Governments are free to preserve or sustain the use and study of the language of any other community'.

Before giving me a lecture on our constitution, try reading it yourself first, instead of just blindly parroting skewed interpretations by bigoted individuals. Rational thoughts and analytical skills required, hope you're in possession of some.

And I definitely don't understand your rationale on the MARA/JPA issue. So according to you it's alright for Malays to get in touch with their roots by studying in Indonesia but ethnic Chinese students studying in China and Taiwan are bloody racists? Well, talk about being a hypocrite.

Nowhere did I mention anything about Chinese papers, but since you're being fussy with details... IF you want to read the Mandarin papers, go sign up for Mandarin classes. Notice the word 'if'? No one's forcing you to learn anything. Your comment on Article 152 is irrevelant in this context.

SMJK said...

Ikhwan, no. The others are not me, try to notice the difference in sentence structures and writing style. Besides, would commenting under 2 different names serve me any purpose?

How credible is that NUTP survey? Is the methodology sound? The sample shows that 2/3 is weak in BM, what is the sample? Which school or schools? Does it accurately reflect the population when the data is extrapolated? This is akin to the analogy that "I observed that 2/3 Malays from Kampung X are lazy, therefore all Malays in the state are lazy". Don't like stereotypes? Neither do I.

You claimed that more than half of Malaysian Chinese have poor BM conversation skills. Now, this I do agree with you. I have already pointed this out in my previous post, YES we don't speak much BM daily. YES, most of our BM classes in school consist of mostly written lessons and not verbal lessons. And when one doesn't speak much, what do you expect? Perfect spoken BM with a Malay accent? Be realistic. The majority of us can converse perfectly fine and write just as well in BM.

Although here's a little anecdote that I find awfully embarassing. A Chinese girl in her mid-twenties boarded a public bus that I was in. She couldn't speak a word of BM at all and started talking to the driver, a Malay guy in Mandarin and some other dialects. Obviously the driver couldn't understand a word of what she's saying. In the end, some guy in front translated her words. That was the first time I ever saw such a ridiculous thing, maybe this is what you guys are talking about? Rest assured, even I am embarassed for her, and she definitely does not reflect the majority. (No stereotypes please!)

And no point arguing with you about my SPM grades and my schools grade. If you're in doubt that's fine, what do I have to gain by giving false grades? I might even snap a photo and upload my result slip if someone insists hard enough just for the sake of argument. Of course, we'll come back again to square one. "YOUR BM A+ BUT YOU CAN'T SPEAK MALAY!" "CHINESE GET A ONLY BY MEMORIZING, NO CREATIVITY AT ALL" "ULTRA-KIASU, WHY SO MANY As??" "YOU GOT A, OKAY, BUT SCHOLARSHIPS ARE STILL OUR SPECIAL RIGHT".

About Singapore's democracy, so we have a slightly more freedom in our media, is it something to be proud of? We're nowhere near the top in the Press Freedom Index (statistics again!). What about the many other aspects that we're inferior to Singapore?

Oh and, 'Mister Stupid', seriously? Horrible comeback, try harder.

The Constitution says

"no person shall be prohibited or prevented from using (otherwise than for official purposes), or from teaching or learning, any other language"

The key words are "otherwise than for official purposes".

It means no one shall be prevented from using other languages EXCEPT FOR OFFICIAL PURPOSES.

Medium of instruction in schools is for official purposes. So Mandarin and Tamil cannot be medium of instruction in schools.

It means other languages can be used or learnt in schools but not as medium of instruction because that is official purpose and must be BM.

The fact that Chinese schools have existed for over 50 years does not mean it's right.

We need a strong leader to implement single-stream schooling or SSS now, not dilly dally with the words "when the rakyat wants it" like Najib said in his blog.

huhu...you want to throw in doubt to the source of the fact ke? Looks clever but not to the people with technical or statistical knowledge what about the credibility of your fact? This study from NUTP was based on the survey of 159 school. Based on my calculation, this sampling size results in more than 90% confidence level and with less than 5% margin of error!

Can you comprehend that? Yes? No? whatever...for other readers, this indicate that in simple terms, there is ~90% chance that for the whole population of chinese Malaysian, 1/3 know nothing and another 1/3 no little of BM! And yes combination of this appalling results indicate that 60% of your people has a very poor level of BM!
Which interestingly coincide with my own observation of you people as I mentioned above.

And yeah what about yours fact? Nil confident level? Nil Margin of error? What numbers of sampling did you used?

Evidence is right in front of our eyes, See Dr Ridhuan himself...he is a chinese that has better BM than even a Malay like me!!

So mate, for god sake, please dont try to steer this debate away in unrelated direction and dont cloud the point of this whole discussion!

No thanks...you can keep your useless A+ paper in your dusty display shelves or frame or whatever!

Who's arguing with you about your or your friends A+ in BM??? Not me for sure!

Again you completely missed my point! who gives a damn whether you got an A+ or A+++ in BM when in reality you could not put them in use at that supposedly "A" level as reflected by your paper!!?? No difference to an F for me!

Would it be acceptable for an engineer who got A++ in his/her thermodynamic subject, designing a faulty building air conditioning systems that doesnt deliver sufficient coolness to the building!? Yeah dont concern yourself with practical issue as long as on exam paper you did well!!

Would it be acceptable for a shower system that doesnt deliver sufficient water just because the hydraulic engineers in practical couldnt perform a proper hydraulic calculation eventhough he got A+++++ in his hydraulic subject exam!!??

What??? Acceptable like you in "BM" case?? Not acceptable?

Is this your logic!!?? "Oh I cant really speak fluent BM but I got A+ in BM exam!! bla bla bla"

"Sigh"....

That is the most sick excuse I have ever heard.

SMJK said...

Ikhwan

I have already stated my stand lots of times. There is no doubt that there are Chinese students with poor command of BM. But still it is incorrect to say that 2/3 of all Chinese are poor in BM.

China Press gave the total number of SJKC schools in the country to be 1291. Given the population and sample size of 159, my calculations show that the sample of 159 is still far less than 224 required for a 90% confidence level with 5% margin of error.

Numbers aside, students in SJKC schools are not a truly random distribution. I would say the methodology is still flawed. Geographical location, family background and other factors do affect a student's linguistic abilities. Some SJKC schools perform better and some less, same goes for SK schools. You can't just nitpick a few schools and extrapolate the results to generalize all SJKC students.

Obviously we're going nowhere in this argument. You'll definitely continue with your argument that the majority of Chinese in this country has horrible BM. To put it this way, SJKC schools can also provide an good learning platform for the BM language, given that the students are interested in learning of course. Students who aren't serious about an education, even if they do enroll in an SK school won't show any improvement in BM or English and Mandarin for that matter.

I believe it is not the SJKC school system at fault, but in fact the attitude of some SJKC students (or even SK too). Put a good student anywhere and he can still excel.

SMJK said...

Ikhwan

Of course I am well aware that grades are not everything, but since someone questioned the truthfulness of my statements I must at least give a reply out of courtesy, no?

And so here we go again about SPM. The BM paper only measures our ability to write essays, and answer some literature and grammar questions. It is definitely not a thorough assessment of a student's BM. But given our results and the fact that SPM is a standardized examination, proves that we do have a certain level of command of the language.

ikhwan said...

Aiseh SMJK

What??? What sort of sampling methodology are you using? We can compare our calculation and method if you want!

What is with "students in SJKC schools are not a truly random distribution" got to do with the reliability of the results (in statistical terms)!?

Did you get A+ in your math & statistic?? It looks like another useless A+ (If you got that) as with your BM paper!

Dude, FYI, Whether the sample is in form of "random distribution" or not is not the issue. What make sense, is that for a statistical result reliability, one have to choose the sample randomly! Can you see the difference there??

And of course, for the whole terms "confidence level, margin of error etc" to hold true given that typical methodology that we normally used to calculate such a thing, the sample itself has to be normally or Gaussian distributed. This is perhaps a good assumption as in the case of many other natural phenomena.

And I find it interesting to read your last statement:
_________________________________
"I believe it is not the SJKC school system at fault, but in fact the attitude of some SJKC students (or even SK too). Put a good student anywhere and he can still excel.
__________________________________

My comment:

hmm...so SJKC is not at fault eh? Whatever....now going with your own logic then....if SJKC is not at fault and a good student can excel anywhere he/she is put at....so the fact that 2/3 of SJKC student at that 159 schools (for argument sake) having an appalling level of BM must means that those students (which mainly comprises of Cina) are not a "good" stock then!!

SMJK,

Tolong jangan gunakan pendekatan 'ignore, divert and downplay'.

Those who keep defending Chinese schools, arguing figures, location etc like SMJK, should read and re-read Article 152 of the Constitution. Must try and understand the meaning of the words "(otherwise than for official purposes)" like Anon 5.10 PM said above.

Go check with the experts to know that it means only BM shall be used for official purposes. And schools are official purposes. Therefore Mandarin cannot be used as a medium of instruction in schools.

For goodness sake, such people also must know and realize that no one is stopping the use of, teaching and the learning of Mandarin in schools. But that it must be as an elective subject and not as a medium of instruction.

SMJK has all along been trying to justify the existence of Chinese schools. He should state where his kiblat is. For his information, kiblat is the direction Muslims pray to i.e Mecca. Of course, he must know nobody asks non-Muslims to follow that. But it means they should state which direction they have their feelings for - this country or where else.

My response:

Wow, It is very convenient isn’t it for you to label “bigots” to RT and Perkasa when the real bigots is actually people like you, Dong Zong, other Zong, DAP, MCA and Wee Ka Siong!
Let us talk about what is actually equality? Equal as defined mathematically as being the same or identical in value. Now, given this definition, would a 50/50 split between Pribumi and NONS on the aspects of economies, education etc resulted in equality. Well it would if the composition of Pribumi and the NONS is also 50/50??!. But this is not the case isnt it?!

There is a mathematical concept called “weighted value”. Let consider a population of a 1000 with composition of 650 Pribumi and 350 Nons (which mimic the composition of races in our country). If we split the quota at 50/50 (so as to be equal as perceived by you ultrakiasu people) say for a 100 available public university intake. What weighted value could we get under such arrangement? It is 50/650 Pribumi v.s. 50/350 Nons which is ~8% of Pribumi and 14% of Nons respectively getting into public university. How can 8% v.s. 14% being equal? Is this the racial equality that you people has been shouting about??! Any persons with basic level of maths would not have called this equality!!!

Do you want to look at pure figure? Ok let us look at this angle; how many people that doesn’t get into the public uni as a result of your “equality” concept? ….Well it is 600 Pribumi v.s. only 300 Nons in this case. Is this equality?

“Sigh”

If this is what you people call as equality, then I guess you would be better off in South Africa back at the time when they are still practicing the apartheid. This (the equality as per ultrakiasu) has the exact detrimental consequences in comparison to the S.A apartheid practices!
Now with this terms “Special Rights”. Yes, the constitution clearly said about the special rights of the Pribumi……however tell me what is so special for these people (the Pribumi) when they only asked for a 30% economic quota and 60% education quota in comparison to their numbers that comprises of ~65% of this nation population!!?

Yeah..What is so “special” about that? What? That is damn right…it is not special at all! Infact It is fair and equal! So why on earth would you people keep on whining and harping of being unjustly treated, subjected with unthinkable discrimination (yeah folk…this one is downright hilarious) etc etc!!??

There should have not been any fuss about this at all. It is a fuss, because you and your people mind has been so polluted by the DAP propaganda. It is a fuss because you and your people being greedy, tamak haloba and ULTRAKIASU!

It is true BM proficiency among the Chinese was unsatisfactory.

Why? This is because the government had failed to give enough emphasis to assist those who were weak in the language to boost their skills in the national schools.

This is because the learning of the language is not really enhanced in both the primary and secondary levels.

Obviously, there will be critics blaming the vernacular schools but because even there, BM is a compulsory subject and after that, they go to secondary school where BM is even more prominent.

There is just no proper programme in place to help these Chinese primary school students to adopt when in the secondary level.

Of course I fully agree that every Malaysian should master the language, especially the younger generation, but when it comes to integration, there are many other pertinent factors involved.

There are also government policies where every Malaysian wants to have a place here, to be treated equally.

Of course language is important because it enhances communication between all the races but still, it is the policies of the government that truly help to promote integration.

Prof Johan Saravanamuttu reported that Malaysia's human rights practice, by way of national laws and legal instruments, has steadily slid downhill since independence in 1957.

This is due to several major political developments since independence and particularly because of the actions of the government led by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad since 1981.

The only positive actions on the part of the state in recent years has been the endorsement of several international human rights conventions and the setting up of a national commission on human rights.

The actions on the part of the state in weakening human rights practice in the country can be stated as follows:

The steady erosion of constitutional provisions for human rights and fundamental liberties such as the right to life and liberty of the person, protection against slavery forced labor, equality before the law, freedom of movement, speech, expression, assembly and association, including the right to strike and take industrial action (Articles 5, 6, 8, 9, 10(1)(a) (b) (c), freedom of religion, right to education and property (Articles 11, 12, 13).

The most cynical developments occurred in the Mahathir period when the principle of judicial review (Article 121) was virtually debunked after the sacking of the Lord President and two Supreme Court judges in 1988.

Elimination of the right to seek the writ of habeas corpus, whereby preventive detention cannot be challenged in court, since the 1988/89 amendments to the Internal Security Act (1960).

The increasing centralization of the powers of government in the hands of the executive branch and the steady debunking of the principle of the separation of powers of the legislature and judiciary as provided for in the 1957 Constitution.

This was accomplished along with the steady removal of checks and balances in the system via various constitutional procedures and amendments aimed at reducing local state power, abolition of elected local governments and eroding of the symbolic as well as the legal role of the Rulers. (Lee, 1995)

Islam considers all humans the same as it makes no distinction between one group and another.

This is evident in Surah an-Nahl 16:90, that “Allah has enjoined justice and righteousness.”

In addition, Islam is based on principles which are accommodative, just, fair, and responsible towards everyone in the society regardless of race, background and religious belief.

The minority groups have the right to partake in the development of the country in terms of political, economic, social, educational, and religious activities.

In addition, historical evidence stands firmly to show that the non-Muslims were treated well and protected under covenants in States governed predominantly by Muslims especially during the governance of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.

In the same vein, one may also witness the same peaceful co-existence of both the majority and the minority groups in Malaysia.

Everybody must maintain cordial inter-racial relations. We can reap bountiful benefits from racial harmony in the country. Only then will disunity be removed, and we can rest assured that we will move in the era of globalisation with great alacrity.

Our diversity mould us into who we are. Though we may echo idiosyncratically, we tone at the same chord of harmonization.

We, as Malaysians, should live and dream as Malaysians!

“ the attitude of some SJKC students” SMJK said? Can he tell us how many of those from SMJK would stick to and keep defending Chinese schools? How has that “attitude” helped in the creation of a united Malaysia?

How can the so-called “muli-nations within a nation” that the Dong Zong spoke about help in bringing about a united Malaysia? Do they not realize that even liberal Western countries like UK have said, “muti-culturalism is dead”. Spoken by no less than the British PM David Cameron, echoed by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and two other leaders of the EU.

Has the SJMK fellow anything to say about that? He has not said anything about that as far as I can see. Or he chooses to say only the convenient things for him to say?

Clearly Mister SMJK 1:52 PM doesn’t like to be called kiasu. Yet he doesn’t argue his case out. For example, try to explain his perception or interpretation of the word kiasu and explain how he or any Chinese like him is not kiasu. Come on la, the fact that there is such a word kiasu means that there must be kiasus among them. Why grumble “Kiasu this and kiasu that”? The fact that he doesn’t explain kiasu-ism, yet accuse people a lot, shows he is kiasu, correct?

And he says “why Malaysia's not advancing as fast as our neighbours” is because of “Attitude like yours”. What an argument. What “Competition drives innovation” is he talking about when there is no level playing field to even talk about competition? Competition under those circumstances will mean only win, win, win situation. Only for him and his likes. Got meaning? Where got? Kiasu thinking? You answer.

But of course he’ll say “people like you will never understand that statement.” That’s kiasu logic, no less.

And why can’t “Whenever issues on racial equality and fairness arise”, we or Perkasa "scream about special rights and protectionism"? When you and your kind don’t respect or accept the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak?

And you argue whether it’s 1/3 or ¼ SJKC dropouts. What difference does it make when, substantively, the percentage of dropouts either way there is “substantial”? Where got good preparation in SRJKC compared to SRK, when the kids can also benefit in exchanging a few words in BM daily with pupils of other races in SRK?

According to Datuk Dr. Zainal Aznam Yusof (deceased), an economist and policy consultant, just before his death, he wrote that although power corrupts, it is a universal rule that no one gives up power willingly (for example, Mubarak in Egypt).

However, the longer those in power cling to their posts, the greater the lure of corruption.

All holders of power, especially autocrats and dictators, tend to see themselves as indispensable.

One way is to amend the constitution, or pass a separate law, that limits the tenure of power holders for a fixed period; but this is not foolproof; that is still the direction that Malaysia should take.

If there is a much shorter tenure, maybe violence will cease to be an option to change leadership that has outlived its usefulness.

From the rulers to the ruled, from the legislators to the enforcers, the rule of law must prevail.

If conflict is part of the natural order, and if it unavoidable, then efforts must be made to mitigate its impact, spread and duration.

Sustained, inclusive and environmentally friendly economic growth and good governance can do their part, but they have their limits.

Actually I remembered Datuk Dr. Zainal had written an article in the Edge somewhere in February 2011.

In the article he wrote that many countries have a long history of many conflicts and they can recur.

The May 1969 racial riot in Malaysia were actually seminal conflicts. And there is nothing now to show that we are still immune from racial conflicts; they are just shimmering below the surface.

He quoted examples of the burning of churches and temples, the insulting behaviour towards sensitive religious symbols, the lack of sensitivity to sensitive-load words, the unhappiness over opaque religious conversions, the demarcation of of the powers of the syariah and civil courts, and the insults to historical experiences which are just disguised and quasi-forms of suppressed conflicts.

The ethnic fragmentation and polarisation have actually become endemic and pervasive, and they are fertilisers for conflicts.

He also noted that we are also not short of irresponsible politicians who stir and stoke the sensitive parts of the national psyche, thus edging people towards conflicts and acting as paid handmaidens of violence.

Furthermore, the template for politicians in ethnically diverse societies like ours is to generate animosities (and exploit ethnic insecurities and deep seated prejudices) and conflicts is well established.

There are just no clear and effective counter-measures to check these politicians on both sides of the political divide. The arsenal of conflict-enhancing behaviour is alive and well.

According to him that even after more than 50 years of independent growth, we are no closer to being racially blind.

Food, shelter, security, economic opportunties and fairness are necessary conditions for blunting ethnic conflicts, but they are not sufficient.

Economic growth, according to him, so far, has not really helped inter-ethnic integration. While the poor are still with us, their size has been reduced.

The current and future conflicts in Malaysia will be fueled more by an outraged sense of inequality and unfairness in economic opportunities, and by dangerous politicians on both sides of the political divide.

Kita perlu terus membidas mereka. Tak usah harapkan mereka sedar. Hanya harapkan yang tak ultra kiasu, mungkin sediikit sahaja kiasunya, sedar. Sedarkan tanggungjawab mereka kapada Perlembagaan negara.

Anonymous said...

Dear Anonymous 8:23am ,

Let us not be complicated. All of us know that this nation of ours is rich with plenty of resources. Many of us are not interested to manage the resources nor govern the country.

Therefore, when there are people willing to represent us in governing and manage the nation, we vote them into the office.

Now, for the understanding of many, we all agree that those elected are to manage the resources of the country to pay their salary, allowances, office, transportation, office and house. Any additional resources is to distribute to the Rakyat. If not enough, then the Rakyat will help.

Are the resources such as petrol, rubber, oil palm, mining, permits, etc not enough for those governing the country?

Rakyat pay taxes basing on whatever they earn in the country.

Rakyat pays excise duties and taxes to purchase cars and also government charges for registration and taxes to finance the vehicles.

Even though Rakyat do not pay road tax for using motorbike (last time is RM2 per year), every new bike will be taxed at least RM1,000!

Rakyat pays tax when they go for movies. Even watching Astro, apart from paying the monthly dues, subscribers pay 6% tax per bill.

Rakyat also pays taxes for making telephone calls.

Rakyat pays 6% tax when eating at restaurants.

Apart from taxes, Rakyat also pays for the increase in the prices for flour, sugar, vegetables, and other food because to help those to govern the nation.

If the current government for the past 50 years can't even manage the rich resources well and then with the Rakyat have to continue to help to pay even for the basics such as medical and education, do you still consider all these as ultra kiasu?

What about the other ills, corruption, abuse of power, funds missing, close tenders, etc?

Anonymous said...

Dear Anonymous 11:58 AM,

I don't understand you para

"If the current government for the past 50 years can't even manage the rich resources well and then with the Rakyat have to continue to help to pay even for the basics such as medical and education, do you still consider all these as ultra kiasu?"

Not clear what you mean by "all these" - you mean the current government or those people who I said are ultra kiasu?

As far as those people are concerned, I maintain they are still ultra kiasu despite those points of yours.

Everybody pays tax, my friend. And despite some claiming that the Chinese pay the most tax, I have seen figures said to have come from the Ministry of Finance/ Inland Revenue that they pay ony 30%, it's the GLCs that pay the most, at 40%, and the Malays plus others including foreigners pay 30%.

And I haven't touched the matter of "tax evasion" as well as deliberate "tax avoidance".

"corruption, abuse of power, funds missing, close tenders, etc" exist everywhere in the world, compadre. I'm not condoning it. The Government has been tackling it beginning with cutting out money politics in UMNO (which also exists in MCA and the ultra kiasu party DAP is also not free from corruption), the arrest of Ling Liong Sik, Immigration and Customs buggers, etc. I know it is not enough, but attempts have been made.

If for those you are saying the Government is also ultra kiasu, I disagree - unless you explain the meaning of ultra kiasu being different from extreme selfishness, don't want to be left out, don't want to lose out.

I find myself in strange territory listening to people like Ridhuan Tee or Reezal Merican, or Rahim Azeez speak for the Malays.

I would have thought, Malays are better off if THESE people speak on behalf of MACMA (Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association) or KIMMA (Kongres India Muslim Malaysia, OR Malaysian Indian Muslim Congress).

How can we force ourselves to suffer fools by allowing ourselves to consume the hate spewing writings ofsome bloggers whose Malay-ness are questionable?

Why isn't the peddler of rancid-curry speaking on behalf and FOR MACMA and KIMMA members?

Jadi jadi lah kita orang Melayu kena tipu.

I think Malays have got enough talented people to speak for ourselves.

Then we have those who pretend they speak for UMNO but are themselves NOT UMNO members.

The REAL UMNO man WOULDN'T speak of an imagined clash of Christians and Muslims or spun the story about Christians taking over this country.

Does a Malay cease to be a Malay if he is not an UMNO member?

Being UMNO is NOT an absolute requirement to fight for a Malay cause.

Those Malays in power have not actually helped other Malays.

So if UMNO insists that UMNO is Malay and Malay is UMNO, then by extension, Malays in power do not help the rest of Malays will also mean, UMNO in power does not help the rest of the Malays.

UMNO people must be realistic on this. One doesn't stop becoming Malay if one dismisses UMNO. People are already doing that if you still don't realize it.

Yet the leadership is hyping themselves, aided by a pliant audio visual and print media into believing all is well.

Ignorance is really bliss.

I on the other hand find people who dislike RT speaking for the Malays when they themselves can't as unacceptable and need being told off in similar fashion.

Particularly when fellows like this one who sounds non-Malay by saying Malays would be "better off if THESE people speak on behalf of MACMA (Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association) .."

He is himself a suffering fool, consumed by his hate spewing writing against some bloggers who want to help protect the rights and promote the interests of the Malays.

He knows not the definition of a Malay under the Constitution.

It's fine by me if this presumably peddler of pork speaking on behalf of the Chinese. But jadi jadi lah kita orang Melayu kena tipu by the ultra kiasus like DAP and their cohorts.

I agree that Malays have got enough talented people to speak for ourselves. But no harm for any others to speak for the Malays. Only a non like this bloke finds it unacceptable. He can eat his heart out as far I am concerned.

I'm not UMNO and don't have to always speak for UMNO and don't pretend that I dislike PAS and PKR for dividing the Malays. And anybody in between who exploits the Malays being a weak lot now. Most of all I abhor the pengkhianat Melayu and this bloke might be one.

But this bloke could be a Christian non who now appears to speak for the Christians disliking Malays who "spun the story about Christians taking over this country", says he.

Is a Malay really Malay if he appears to be a pengkhianat bangsa like this one? If this bloke is a Malay, that is.

Being PAS or PKR is OK but NOT when sleeping with the Malay-hating and Malay rights eroding DAP. They absolutely do not speak for a Malay cause that way. And they have not beeen speaking for the Malay cause, anyway.

Those Malays allowing themselves to be used by DAP have not and will not ever help other Malays.

So if PAS and PKR insist that they are fighting for the Malay cause by sleeping with the DAP, that is absolutely untrue and there should not be any extension of the support given them by Malays in the past. They should never be given power because they are helping the interests of the ultra kiasus and that does not help the rest of the Malays.

PAS and PKR people must be realistic on this. One stops being Malay when helping the chauvinistic, racist and subversive DAP cause whose so-called Malaysian Malaysia subverts the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak. True, you are already doing that if you still don't realize it.

Yet the PAS and PKR members are hyping themselves, not realizing that the Sodomy I and II trials and the pliant audio visual and print media show that all is not well with with PR.

Ignorance of the implications of sleeping with Malay-hating DAP is not bliss. It's simply completely and utterly unfortunate and extremely regrettable.

How do you like this counter comment?

It has nothing to do with dislike.

Perhaps Thomas Lee Seng Hock in MySinchew.com provided the best explanation;

"The government should also initiate legal action against irresponsible writers, like the controversial Mingguan Malaysia columnist Dr Mohd Ridhuan Tee Abdullah who provokes the non-Malays with his weekly diatribe against them, saying that minorities who cannot respect the special position of Islam and the Malays should return to their "homeland", which he means China and India."

Ridhuan Tee is indeed known for writing crazy things, perhaps hired to do so, perhaps not.

Most of what he wrote easily convinces you that he was from another planet, but there is no point if he is penalised for what he wrote.

Penalising him will only force him to take his views underground and give him validation and that in turn will give him more support.

Anyway, we have no right to silence someone merely because our feelings are hurt. We must sit down and debate it out till the cows come home and then let "others" decide whose idea they favour. The favourable idea gets the vote and then we work on making it a reality.

There is no other civil way to deal with racism ala Ridhuan Tee, if we don’t provide good counsels as remedies to his evil counsels.

It is easy to let our emotions run unrestrained and say "Use the Sedition Act on him!" or "Use the ISA on him!"; that is a coward’s way of dealing with the problem.

As long as Acts like the ISA and Sedition exists, till then will Malaysians continue to be shackled, repressed and un-Merdeka.

As long as Acts like this exist and can be used on citizens, then we are not free people. In time, one day, it might also be used against anyone.

There are no shortcuts here ultimately - just a lot of patience, common sense and reason.

Anon 1:39 AM.

Thomas Lee Seng Hock has also been writing pro-Chinese and pro-Christian views. If the government initiate legal action against what he calls “irresponsible writers .. like columnist Dr Mohd Ridhuan Tee", Thomas’ past writings should also be scrutinized.

Dr Ridhuan has been trying to speak about loyalty to this country and exhorting the Malays/ Muslims to higher social, moral and economic values. Do read the many comments of appreciation written in this blog in the past.

This 1:39 AM writer is himself irresponsible when saying “Ridhuan Tee is indeed known for writing crazy things, perhaps hired to do so ..”. Suggesting Dr Ridhuan is paid – presumably by UMNO – is nonsensical. The man gets paid no more than like other columnists who contribute to various newspapers – one PhD law lecturer of UM also contributes columns to one other newspaper.

This 1:39 AM writer is off-planet when he says Dr Ridhuan “was from another planet”, but is in-planet when he said “there is no point if he is penalised for what he wrote”.

No such thing as “take his views underground and give him .. more support”. His supporters are all out in the open here, like bloggers/ commenters using all sorts of blogging names or anon comments in other blogs as well.

He is being responsible in saying “we have no right to silence someone merely because our feelings are hurt. We must sit down and debate it out till the cows come home and then let "others" decide whose idea they favour”.

Add one more: sit down, read the Constitution fully, ask yourself if you accept and respect it fully, including all the sensitive aspects that are covered by the Sedition Act. If you do, you are welcome as a fellow Malaysian. Otherwise, you may be ultrakiasu (can people not use this word? If not pls explain why, esplly when you have used the word “crazy”, “evil councils” etc on Dr Ridhuan), and we have problems like with the ultrakiasu DAP members and supporters.

I'll use your words in saying there is no other civil way to deal with racism ala DAP, if we don’t provide good counsels as remedies to their evil words and deeds. Are you not racist yourself for accusing others being racist unjustifiably?

In fact, per the dictionary, the word racism should only be used when there is antagonism towards another race. Like those flogging the so-called Malaysian Malaysia slogan that wants to erode the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak by wanting equality without acknowledging that Special Position.

I fully support the Sedition Act and the ISA. You should visit the Guantanamo Bay Detention Centre in the USA and see that even the so-called “most liberal country in the world” also practices detention without trial even right to this day – at the last count recently, there were about 200 detainees still there.

You talk about “Malaysians continue to be shackled, repressed and un-Merdeka” – the Guantanamo Bay detainees are in fact still really in shackles, unlike our ISA detainees in Kamunting Detention Centre, free to move about within the premises.

You should also be aware that another of the so-called “most liberal country in the world”, the UK, has its PM recently say “multi-culturalism is dead”. Echoed by the German Chancellor and 2 other EU leaders. Freedom has its limits, with freedom there is responsibility.

When people talk about unity and single-stream education through the Satu Sekolah Untuk Semua or SSS, it should not be countered by talk about “multi-nations within a nation” nonsense like the Dong Zong leader did. Wanting Mandarin at par with the BM as the National Language of the country, etc. There must be just one Malaysian community with one Kiblat or direction for loyalty, not otherwise. The loyalty of all Malaysians must be to Malaysia and no other.

Agreed there are no shortcuts here, but the relevant laws must be applied when people do not use common sense and reason as far as respecting and abiding by the Constitution of the country is concerned.

Malaysia race relations, in 50 years, shows that behind the façade of outward unity and peace, racism runs deep in this multi-ethnic 'melting pot'.

This is partly because ethnic boundaries are real in our society and almost every sphere of public life is linked to ethnicity in one way or another.

More than half the population does not trust each other.

A survey found that 42 percent do not consider themselves Malaysian first, 46 percent say ethnicity is important in voting, 55 percent blame politicians for racial problems and 70 percent would help their own ethnic group first.

Experts have been voicing concern that, increasingly, the communities were drifting apart and polarization of the races and a lack of social unity were on the rise.

They squarely blame the politicians and the country's race-based politics for the sharp rise in racism. The shocking findings have also prompted civil society to demand a ban on all race- based political parties.

According to lawyer politician A. Sivanesan, we should outlaw all Malaysian political parties that restricts membership on grounds of race, religion or sex. It should be written in the constitution that only multi-racial bodies be permitted.

Sivanesan also said that social problems affect all communities. Poverty, drug and crime are not specific to any one race. All races face the blight.

Sivanesan noted that the various races live peacefully but separately. It is already half a century after independence and we are further away from knowing each other!

In the survey, even Hari Raya Puasa was wrongly perceived as the Malay New Year by 32 per cent of Malays, 84 per cent of Chinese and 45 per cent of Indians -when the festival actually marks the culmination of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.

Similarly, the Chinese New Year was thought to be a religious festival by 57 percent of Malays, 53 percent of Indians and a whopping 62 percent of Chinese respondents.

Why? Partly because the government officially practices a policy of positive discrimination that favours Malays over other races in many areas - from employment, education, scholarships and business to cheaper housing and assisted savings.

Therefore, we need to appeal to the Malays, Chinese and the Indians and the rest that we need to go beyond race-based politics. If you continue to harp and support this racial equation, you will never be able to overcome racial divisions.

Racism in Malaysia is too deeply entrenched in official policies and the socio-political system!

Jika betul, kenapa sekarang malu nak keluar begitu?

Apa awak peduli "Ada wakil Cina muslim bermati-matian nak pertahankan Melayu UMNO"? Mind your own business lah.

Awak nak hasut lagi. Takda bukti pulak tu.

Mengata pulak "wakil Cina muslim" sepatutnya "menolak fahaman sempit perkauman". Sebenarnya kata kata awak tu yang berupa fahaman perkauman sempit. Tak pasal pasal nak marah orang nak pertahankan Melayu.

Apa kau peduli "wakil Cina muslim pula nak berjinak-jinak dengan UMNO!" Apa "Hairan sungguh!" Aku tak hairan pun jenis kau ni. Orang panggil ULTRA KIASU. Pastu kau kata tak habis habis orang cakap pasal tu.

Anon 11.47 AM,

1. Who runs the Survey, pray tell. If it's Merdeka Centre, do you know if it's an independent org or beholden to the financiers. I read some said it has links with Anwar.

2. I agree that, "increasingly, the communities were drifting apart and polarization of the races and a lack of social unity were on the rise." But what are you going to do about that?

3. I haven't read about "civil society to demand a ban on all race- based political parties". But I'm interested if it can be done.

4. Btw, who is "lawyer politician A. Sivanesan"? What I know is that the Constitution cannot be changed willy nally. Would any politician want to take administrative action to banning race-based political parties?

Haha, the exclamation mark you use may be telling on you! Is Sivanesan DAP? Are you saying DAP is not race-based in reality?

You seem to be so when you accuse the government "officially practices a policy of positive discrimination that favours Malays over other races in many areas .."

Then I got to feel that this is a DAP propaganda hogwash. When you allege "Racism in Malaysia is too deeply entrenched in official policies and the socio-political system!", do think about the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sarawak and Sabah and that the nons got citizenship right which they didn't have for about 80 years under the British before Merdeka.

Try to exclude the exclamation marks as they are telling on you. Also the rude boy appearing at about the same time, hahaha. I bet you if the name PENYOKONG DAP comes out, PEMBANGKANG DAP would come out to counter his comments as always.

The government which had been ruling for more than 50 years is actually a menace to his own people. Why? You can see the effects of their foolishness when the ringgit has halved its value overnight and the economy goes kaput.

Single handedly they have caused hardship to millions of their own people.

They built useless mega projects at tremendous cost to the country. The telecoms tower in Kuala Lumpur and the highest building in the world show how stupid they are. If you need high ground for telecoms
antennae, a nearby mountain is there for free. This tower has no
purpose from the ground up to 300 metres. The satelites are already there and this tower is totally unneccesary.

A fool and his money are soon parted. The only problem is that they are the fools and the money belongs to Malaysians. They make certain percentage in every project, they have real estate in Japan and billions of shares corruptly acquired.

They are worth billion US$. Where do they get this money? Of course, corruptions. They are known as the
Marcos of Malaysia, having enriched themselves to the tune of billions.

A thief is crying thief and hopes people look the other way. Who dares to say anything when the chief is caught with his hands in the candy jar?

Everone knows that wisdom is not the monopoly of the West. So is foolishness.

They are really foolish than most people would believe. Billions
are used to build two high rise Petronas buildings that benefit
nobody. It now stand tall, a symbol of stupidity and irresponsibility.

How can a Moron make so much money. By allowing short selling and borrowing millions of shares from the banks , the fund managers made millions out of the inexperience and poor regulations.

They lose all Malaysians money, therefore they are the Morons. Now they knew too late and start crying over spill milk.

In Australia they are known as the recalcitrant ego maniac; in UK the
corrupt bastard because of their stupidity purchase of the movie studio and the 290 million ringgit Lotus racing car plant and the shady Pergau dam loans from the UK. They are useless to us and they still want to buy them.

What about buying British reject submarines through their agent, of course. The agent/ broker is designed to make millions out of Malaysian government.

The purchase of our battleships is at least 50% more than others are paying.

The purchase of 9 hospitals from UK lock, stock and barrel does not support the local architects
or the industry and the British send them obsolete medical equipment.

The design is atrocious, one end to the other is half a kilometer and
there is no CT-scan, which was an absolute necessity.

In Malaysia they are spending millions to lure tourists and still they talk rubbish scaring every foreigner away.

While I agree the West does not have the monopoly to wisdom, their
actions are not wise either.

Their EAEC has totally no support
even in Asean. Their South-South dialogue mets with the same fate and what is this I heard of the Bridge from Malaysia to Indonesia covering 20 miles across International shipping lanes? How crazy can one get?

Even the Japanese don’t have the money. This world’s of stupidity comes from UMNO and BN.

Still want to vote these stupidity and foolishness?

The political repercussions on the citizenry to challenge official dictates became too fearsome to contemplate.

The BN government instilled the collective fear that walls have ears, and the collective view that the citizen's sole right is to elect the BN to power, that he stands to lose his self-respect in society if he should ask too many intrusive questions or, indeed, if he should vote those it does not like to Parliament or, God forbid, elect an opposition to power in a state.

Politics in Malaysia is still dominated by BN and Umno, even if they recede into themselves and prone to regard those who elected them as enemies.

They will not explain, they will not defend, they will not assuage, they will use the whip to keep in line but are helpless when the revolts continue unabated.

The BN and Umno can dominate politics only with threats and undemocratic methods. And every unfair, illegal or unlawful action it takes challenged and resisted.

Scapegoats are sought, redress is promised, threats are made, but in the end, it is pushed under the carpet. And hope no one else would raise it again. Or until the next time any perfidy gets into the public eye.

He doesn’t know about economics but wants to hit the Government for “the ringgit has halved its value overnight and the economy goes kaput”. Loose talk about supposedly “Single handedly they have caused hardship to millions of their own people”. Sigh!

He has no perspective about development. Tries to blame the Telecoms Tower in Kuala Lumpur and the highest building in the world. He hasn’t a clue about the US building the tallest structure called the Empire State Building and the Twin Towers in New York. Or Shanghai and Taiwan been competing for the same. Ultra kiasu mentality is like that.

A fool as he, he tries to find each and every thing to blame the Government. Except the kilang kabut PR Government in Selangor which includes DAP goons like door- banging Ronnie Liu. The only problem is that they are the gangster kind and spend the RM500,000 per Exco allowance in no time. The MACC investigated, TBH died and they blamed MACC even before the cause of death is known until now.

This bloke will rattle on worse than a rattle snake. Accuse everybody of corruption except DAP. Yet Ronnie Liu used his letterhead for influencing tenders in Selangor. Ean Yong “determined tender prices” as the Chinese businessman testified at the TBH C.O.Inquiry. And Lim Guan Eng launched a multi-billion Ringgit Penang Municipality project not on open tender basis.

But I’ll behave responsibly in not accusing Lim Gaung Eng corrupt there. I’ll leave it to readers to think about the scores of levels and places where corruption can happen in such a huge project carried out that way. The DAP thugs and gangsters will see to it that no one "sees, hears or tells" about the millions being corrupted in the process.

Loose canon, shooting from the hip, this son of a gun may be. Endlessly calling people fools except himself. Can’t even see the benefits of building the Petronas Towers. He’s simply called Ultra Kiasu. Where he does not benefit directly, his mother, father, brother and sisters don’t get the Ringgits, he’ll say all sorts of things.

Making all kinds of accusations without any proofs, facts or data. Who, how, when and where. Talk about “Australia .. UK .. movie studio, 290 million ringgit Lotus racing car plant and the shady Pergau dam loans”. What the hell is he talkin’ about? And about “buying British reject submarines through their agent .. purchase of 9 hospitals from UK lock, stock and barrel”.

Yet if he provides the proofs, I would be the first one to support him. Even volunteer taking the proofs (must be of the nature of “evidence” that can stand in court) to the MACC if he is “shy” to do it.

This loose gun keeps on rambling. But enough of my undressing him in public for the no proof, names, particulars or even details of when, where and how. A lot is of course DAP hogwash. Just see his last bit of desperado – “Still want to vote these stupidity and foolishness?” What a shame. So stupid, so bland, so distasteful kind of sick DAP propaganda.

In an interview with The Sun, Dr. Shad Saleem Faruqi, a professor of law claimed that the Federal Constitution of Malaysia has been amended more than 600 times!(ref : Legal Research Board (Edts), Federal Constitution, Petaling Jaya, International Law Book Services, 2007, pg. 21) That’s 600 times in 50 years. Compare this with the United States Constitution which has been amended only 27 times in the 220 years it has existed.

How is this so? It would be quite bold, in fact it would be a joke to suggest that Malaysia has a more advanced democracy than the United States of America. The real answer is quite simple, of the 40 times the Federal Constitution of Malaysia has been amended, several amendments were done together but not declared as individual amendments.

Conversely, even the smallest change in a single clause in the United States Constitution is considered as one amendment, so why have there been so few amendments to the United States Constitution and so many in the Federal Constitution of Malaysia?

The answer to this question is related to the fact that Malaysia has a very backward democratic process, in other words, it is very easy for the ruling party to pass whatever laws and whatever amendments they wish to because they have consistently held two-thirds majority in the Parliament for the past fifty years.

According to Dr. Shad, between 1991 and 1995, 80% of Bills presented in Parliament were passed without any debate. The party that holds two-thirds majority in Parliament is the de-facto ruling party, Barisan Nasional (BN).

This is not the case in the United States of America where there have been many occasions when the majority of lawmakers were from opposition parties, so there is a lot of debate before a Bill is passed and whether or not it is passed is irrespective of the interests of the executive branch of government.

Malaysians already saying no to the RM5-billion 100-storey Mega Tower proposed by PM Najib in the 2011 budget. Malaysia needs better education, better health care, better public transportation, safer neighbourhood, cleaner water, but not taller building.

Tall towers do not symbolise progress.

The ruling regime is suffering from a complex called idiotic pride; trumpeting grandioseness on the outside but trampling democracy inside.

This goes to the ultra-modernisation of our national defense system itself. We didn't even need to 'modernise the armed forces' – the enemy is inside the country, amongst the corrupt politicians and robber barons, not outside of us amongst the internally-problematic ASEAN nations themselves.

We need to look at our immediate needs and prioritise as a nation that is losing its sense of direction guided by a regime that is intoxicated with power derived from the orchestration of the archaic strategy of divide and rule using race as a tool.

Anonymous said...

It appears that the link between the executive and legislative branches of Malaysian government is not a healthy relationship.

The executive branch of government has become too powerful, or rather, too arrogant because of their ability to pass or reject any law.

Members of Parliament (MPs) from the BN who are not enthusiastic about Bills proposed by the ruling party are suppressed or sometimes punished for their lack of cooperation, or rather, lack of submission by what is known as the Whip.

BN MPs are not allowed to represent their constituency but are instead forced to submit to the wishes of BN leaders, because the Prime Minister is the leader of the party holing majority seats in Parliament, which unfortunately for us is BN.

An MP who has no allegiance to any party, an independent candidate seems to be the perfect answer and the leaders of BN are well aware of this fact.

There are several worst case scenarios to consider in the event that this trend of backward democracy continues.

The most important is that the legislative branch of government could end up destroying the constitution.

There’s not much to stop them from destroying it because they’ve already altered it so much that it’s a completely different document, a watered down version of the original.

If the Federal Constitution of Malaysia was a person, her parents would not recognize her today because she has changed so much since she was born. Her parents left her with guardians who abused her and forced her to change into a different person.

It is sad to think that the Federal Constitution of Malaysia has been amended, it has been raped, over 600 times.

It is not imperative that those responsible are punished, but their wrongs must be made right before everyone loses faith in democracy.

The same about "the ultra-modernisation of our national defense system itself". Such a shame that this fellow with good written English writes no meat except kacang putih. I'd expect him to put some substance, facts, data and arguments. Alas, only a diatribe. Sad fellow. Such a waste.

From the ancient architectures of symbolic power such as the pyramids of Gizeh, the temples of the Incas and the Mayans, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Great Wall of China, the Collosus of Rhodes, and many more – all these are about glorifying tyrants and sacrificing the masses.

Millions died unknown in history whilst names such as Ramses, Shah Jehan, Shih Huang-Ti, and Nebuchadnezzar are remembered for their fame or infamy.

In the history of postmodern civilisations, the erecting of the tallest structures has become a race for idiotic pride and madness. The Eiffel Tower, the Empire State building, the Sears Tower, and the Petronas Twin Towers, Xujjahui in China, International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong, Shanghai World Financial Centre, Taipei 101, Burj Khalifa, and the proposed Lotte World II – all these are symbols of idiotic pride of the both the capitalist and socialist worlds.

Remember that these ultra-kiasu people who are here trying to divert our attention to something else.

Let us back to the main topic - the national patriotisme, the national language and about school based on race.

Pembangkang-DAP and the gang, don't mind those brainless kids who always play the "dive and divert" style. All of those nonsense garbage they spout won't give us headache no? Let them with their world.

These brainless kids are making use of Goebbles words ; "lies can be truth by telling it many times".

For a good example of nowadays human with a brain of an ape, such as LimKitSiang, Michael Chick and the likes.
All they do is blurting garbage out of their brain, twisting facts and divert.

It is time for "multiculturisme is dead".

saya tidaklah hairan kalau pihak ultra kiasu menyokong sekolah vernacular. Tetapi apalah daya kita kalau Perdana Menteri Najib sendiri kerapkali dalam kenyataannya sangat berbangga kerana Malaysia adalah satu-satunya negara di dunia membenarkan sekolah mengikut kaum.

wtf :), with the pro RT people here, multi culturalism is dead in malaysia. and why bother about bahasa ' malaysia '?

a language to communicate with the traffic police and KHDN.
nobody gives a damn whether you fail or pass your BM.

better worry about how much you can ' korek korek korek ' from national coffers.

semua pun mahu korek. tapi own children sent to orphanage. and still have the guts to collect the donations meant for the kids.
dignity is also dead in the umno- perkasa society. disgusting!

Ginosaji,

Agreed, bro. Budak kecik tu selalunya I bo layan. Cuma sekali sekala nak sekel kepala dia sikit.

But the one sounding pandai, quoting Professor etc, I want to show readers he actually tak pandai. Make wild accusations, give personal opinions only, no facts, data or details. I think now readers already see how empty his statements are, how futile and laughable his efforts have been.

Kalau depa masuk lagi, nak buat macam tu jugak. Will not allow what they say go unchallenged. Otherwise puak depa tepuk tangan, naik tocang.

really hats off to the people who can send their children to orphange.

satu lagi sumbangan dan projek kerajaan barisan nasional. :)
these people are so proud to be beggars. or born without brain.
no need to have a lorry load of children if cant afford to bring up them.
dont be a nuisance and burden to the taxpayers, idiots!!!!

Alias,

Daya kita: Teruskan cakap apa saja minta sekolah satu aliran. Sebutkan mengapa perlu walau pun sudah diulang berkali kali.

Kita rayu dan gesa dia. Kemudian, kita rayu dan gesa Majlis Tertinggi UMNO. Lepas tu kita rayu dan gesa Ahli Ahli Jawatan Kuasa Bahagian dan Cawangan UMNO. Penghabis sekali, kita rayu dan gesa Ahli Biasa UMNO.

Najib kena buat punya.

jadi kenapa jaga tepi kain orang when you cant even afford to feed your own children?

sampaikan hantar them to orphanage or madrasah?

useless generation.

hahaha.. pergi la argue your article 151, 152, 153 and so on.
nobody gives a damn.
tapi aku suka beri sedekah... terutama sekali kepada generasi sedekah perkasa / umno.
syiok, bayar sedekah rm1, dapat untung rm5.

Sdr Alias

Sebab, macam Ginosaji kata diatas, diEropah pun mereka dah kata "multiculturalism is dead".

Anonymous said...

song bodoh. dh name pun umah anak2 yatim n madrasah...bukan umah anak2 yatim je..klu dh bodoh psl hal2 org melayu jgn la bg statement..klu x peduli psl perlembagaan, ape lagi...pg la blk china.

Anonymous said...

Kalau ade yang masih rase DAP tu x ultrakiasu, bc komen2 song...sbb die adalah contoh terbaik menilai majoriti cina ultra-kiasu di Malaysia.

Bagus, teruskan bg statement2 bangang...lagi la aku benci kat DAP..

Apa pulak hal si song ni. Mesti lupa makan ubat, tiba2 meroyan mengarut dan menyalak pasal anak yatim. Baghal ke ape?

Lari tajuk dah. Budak2 sungguh.

YA multiculturisme is dead. Dead for shameless pigs like you.
Multiculture is available only to those who abide by the law and constitution.
Easy equation. You stay here, follow the rules. If not, get the fuck out.
This applies to everyone of us. Easy right? So don't complain when the words "balik China" were shouted. It meant perfectly for you and your kind, song.

So, what's the word? Come on lame ass, I'm bored with your same ol' "sedekah" thing. Don't you have anything exciting to say?

Enlighten me.

@song

Ehem last but not least.

Sebelum cakap fikir banyak2, selidik fakta dulu. Jangan jadi sampah. Kau ckp mcm kau pandai tapi bodoh nak mampos. Buat orang lain penat je kena jelaskan.

And one more thing. Mana kau tau yg minta bantuan tu emak/bapa anak2 yatim tu? Takde ke terfikir dalam kepala otak kau yg orang2 tu mungkin bapa/emak saudara mereka?
Kalau kau tak puas ati apsal hantar situ, kenapa cepat sangat buat kesimpulan?

Bosan.

Agenda bangsa sendiri satu hal.

Anonymous said...

Bukan DAP saja ultra kiasu.

Dah dikasi scholarship belajar tempatan. Mahukan scholarship belajar luar ngeri pulak. Selfish ultra kiasu tak habis habis.

Pada hal diorang dah dikasi buat universiti sendiri. Beribu jutawan Cina sanggup keluar duit sumbangan untuk kemudahan universiti dan scholarship budak Cina. Begitu banyak derma dapat hingga UTAR tahun lalu tak mahu terima RM30 juta dari seorang jutawan Cina. Sekarang nak scholarship lagi. Nak scholarship luar negeri pulak. Apa ni?

Ultra kiasu teramat sangat. Melampau.

Anonymous said...

Bila MCA Chua hebohkan isu biasiswa/ scholarship luar negeri, ada Najib kata dia tak pernah janjikan scholarship luar negeri kapada budak Cina.

Macam orang dah banyak kata, kenapa anda mahu melutut kapada diorang lagi? Diorang tak patut nak
rasa iri hati atas sebab sebab yang disebut diatas. Dan diorang patut dan perlu terima dan ikuti Perkara 153 Perlembagaan negara Kedudukan Istimewa Melayu.

Sedarlah kamu bahawa ultra kiasu hardcore walau macam mana pun tidak akan undi BN. Baca saja apa budak "song" dah cakap disini berkali kali. Sedarlah. Tolong.
